Stress Free Fish Farming – Rapid Deployment Enclosure System
De-lousing farmed fish is an ongoing and essential task to ensure the health and quality of stock. Traditional methods using full enclosure or curtain tarpaulins can be time consuming and require multiple members of staff. The new EzeeTarp has been designed and developed to make this process easier and quicker.

The patent pending EzeeTarp can be used as a full enclosure, or curtain tarpaulin and has the added advantages of being able to fit round or square cages of varying depths. One EzeeTarp can do the job of multiple traditional tarpaulins.
The main advantages of the EzeeTarp are the design features which allow this product to be rapidly deployed and retrieved – reducing the time taken to treat each cage and ensuring fish are re-oxygenated quickly.
The EzeeTarp is fitted with a flotation collar allowing it to float unaided in the water. This assists staff in deployment of the unit, and allows the body of the tarpaulin to sink gently down to the depth required, weighed down by the leadline at the base. Ropes spaced along the sides are used to concertina the vertical drop to the required length for closure, and also for faster retrieval.
The base of the deployed sheet incorporates a series of rings with a lanyard running through them – these are designed to tightly enclose the base of the cage net when the lanyard is pulled tight.
Once treatment is completed the lanyard rope is released and the EzeeTarp forms a curtain again, allowing oxygen to reach the fish quickly. Retrieval of the unit is significantly quicker than traditional tarpaulin retrieval.
